从纸面上来说，这场与加拿大的半决赛，塞尔维亚是处于劣势的。

一方面，塞尔维亚阵容中在NBA效力的球员只有三人，且缺少了约基奇这样的超级天王，个体天赋上确实落后于加拿大。另一方面，不同于加拿大队中名将众多，塞尔维亚的这三人中，却只有博格达诺维奇在NBA中有些地位。

但比赛开打后，事实却证明所谓专家们的预判只才猜对了一半。首节上来，博格丹的确扛起了塞尔维亚的进攻重任。可是对比加拿大众将，他并没有感受到太过强烈的防守压力。反倒是塞尔维亚靠着多点开花、内外结合的理性战法，为博格丹创造了不少轻松得分的机会……

三节末段四节初段，当博格丹在场下休息的时候，塞尔维亚非但没有放缓进攻的步伐，反倒将分差进一步拉大了，这种强大的依托感，显然是加拿大方面没有营造出来的。
